TAREA DE TRADUCCION
1. - MY grandfather had a very exciting life. When he was young, he lived on a farm in the country. His parents raised cattle, and he looked after the cows. When he waseighteen, he went to university, where he studied philosophy. He also played the trumpet in a jazz band. When the war started, he tried to join the air force, but he ended in up the navy. In the Atlantic, aGerman torpedo ripped a hole in the side of his ship, and the ship sank. Only five men escaped. They sailed in a lifeboat back to England. The he met my grandmother, and they married after only threeweeks. He says now that he wanted to marry he very quickly in case he died in the war.
Mi abuelo tenía una vida muy emocionante. Cuando era joven, vivía en una granja en su país. Sus padres secriaban ganado, y  después las vacas.
 Cuando tenía dieciocho años, se fue a la universidad, donde estudió filosofía. También tocaba la trompeta en una banda de jazz. Cuando comenzó la guerra, tratóde unirse a la fuerza aérea, pero terminó en la marina de guerra. En el Atlántico, un torpedo alemán arrancó un agujero en el lado de su nave y se hundió el barco. Sólo cinco hombres escaparon. Seembarcaron en un bote salvavidas de vuelta a Inglaterra. El conoció a mi abuela, y se casaron después de sólo tres semanas. Ahora dice que él quería casarse con ella muy rápidamente en caso de que murieraen la guerra.

2. - Emily Carr, British Columbia’s most famous artist, was born in 1871. Her parents died when was still a teenager., she studied art in san Francisco and Paris, but when she cameback to victoria, she kept a house called “the house of all sorts”, where she was the landlady. Many years later, she began painting again. To find subjects for her paintings, she took trips into theforests of British Columbia, and she often meet with the first nation’s people and painted them too.
