THE SHIELD AND PARTS
The Coat of Arms of Ecuador consists of an oval, whosecontour is double jointed brown edge of the same color in their upper and lower ends. The oval contains inside, on the basis of a blue sky, a golden sun placed in an elliptical silver band on which areinscribed on his left zodiac signs Gemini and Cancer and your right zodiac signs Aries and Taurus, which correspond to the historical March, April, May and June in which important events occurred thatreaffirmed Ecuadorian nationality.

Below and to the right of the oval is presented to Chimborazo, the highest snowcapped volcano whose country of birth snows representing a river Guayas, whichgradually expands to fill the entire bottom of the oval. Sideways Guayas River include lush green shores, expression of national agriculture.

In the representation of higher river flow, is a steamshipdriven wheels visible on the sides, as the vessel Guayas "for being the first to be built in South America, in 1841, in the shipyards of Guayaquil. The ship is a caduceus mast as a symbol of navigationand commerce, the caduceus is surrounded by two snakes and topped by two white wings.
