“Their long, slender legs ate up the ground with such power and grace one could not help butstare, jaw dropped, feet planted. This serene beauty could only be one thing, a herd of joyous horses galloping through the bountiful grass.” And so a dream began, small at first, but a dreamnonetheless. Little did anyone know this dream would consume the greater part of my life for many years to come. I was 6 years old when I first discovered horses. Their beauty fascinated me, but also by theirability to love unconditionally, without judgment. At 6 years old I didn’t just discover horses, I discovered a love more powerful than most experience in their lifetime. As they years went on, Icontinued to take lessons and learn about horses and their abilities. The idea of having my own horse was like a dream come true, even though I never thought it possible. My life truly changed the day Imet Dream, a small ugly little horse at the barn I was riding at. My trainer warned me time and time again that he was “rogue” and would never amount to anything.
