DIAGNOSTIC:
The Governments of Ecuador and England signed eleven years ago a project to improve the teaching of English in our country; that is why we are immersed in the implementationand strengthening of this project with the support of experts in a curriculum, trainers teachers for teachers, authors, designers, inspectors and advisers who work together to make it work effectively.INTEGRATOR AXIS:
To develop all the four language basic skills balancedly to ensure a basic and effective comunication in daily activities.
PROFILE OF DEPARTURE OF THE AREA:
At the end of thiscycle students should be able to:
Recognize the existence of other cultures and languages.
Feel motivated and keep a positive attitude toward the english language.
Develop basic communicativeskills, especially the receptive ones.
Reflect on how the writing system works.
Develop learning strategies wich can be transfered t other areas of knowlwdge.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF THE AREA:
Tounderstand and to produce a number of lingustic form to socialize including the basics Greetings and the language associated with the courtery.
to learn about races, customs, interests, clothes,food, family.
To learn about how people from different countries interact.
To reflect on value and share their own culture.
Comprise and produce instructions easy about the language used in theclassroom.
