VARIABLES PSICOLÓGICAS ASOCIADAS A LA POBREZA MATERIAL
DE LOS POBLADORES DE LOS ASENTAMIENTOS HUMANOS TRES
ESTRELLAS (CHIMBOTE), MARIO PEZO (PUCALLPA) Y TUTUMO
(TUMBES), 2013.

RESUMEN

Estudio de tipo cuantitativo, de nivel descriptivo de corte transversal cuyo objetivo
fue determinar cinco variables psicológicas asociadas a la pobreza material de los
pobladores de los Asentamientos Humanos Tres Estrellas (Chimbote), Mario Pezo
(Pucallpa) y Tutumo (Tumbes). Se empleó un muestreo no probabilístico intencional
y se extrajo una muestra de105 pobladores. Se aplicó los siguientes instrumentos: La
Escala de Satisfacción con la Vida de Diener, Emmons, Larsen y Griffin, La Escala
de Autoestima de Rosenmberg-Modificada, La Escala de Motivación de Logro de
Pedro Morales, El Test de Locus de Control de Levenson y la Escala de
Desesperanza de Beck. Los resultados obtenidos indican que la satisfacción que
obtienen estospobladores de la vida familiar, del trabajo, de los amigos y de otros
aspectos de su vida es mínima o inexistente. Sin embargo, se observa cierta
diferencia en favor de los pobladores con mayor grado de Instrucción en cuanto a la
satisfacción de la propia vida; ésta tiende ligeramente a aumentar a medida que es
mayor los años de escolaridad. Cierta tendencia de fijarse y cumplir metas personalesse vislumbra en los pobladores con mayor escolaridad. Un gran número de
pobladores de estos asentamientos humanos asumen, de manera parcial, la
responsabilidad sobre lo que les ocurre en sus vidas. El grado de instrucción es la
variable que se ve asociada con mejores niveles de recursos psicológicos para un
posible paso emergente hacia el bienestar en general

ABSTRACT

Quantitative study of cross-sectional descriptive level whose objective was to
determine five variables associated psychological material poverty of the inhabitants
of Human Seats Three Stars (Chimbote), Mario Pezo (Pucallpa) and Tutumo
(Tumbes). The population consisted ofresidents of Human Seats Three Stars
(Chimbote), Mario Pezo (Pucallpa) and Tutumo (Tumbes). We used a nonprobability sampling intentional and extracted a sample of 105 people. The following
instruments were applied: The Scale of Life Satisfaction Diener, Emmons, Larsen
and Griffin, Self-Esteem Scale-Modified Rosenmberg, The Achievement Motivation
Scale Pedro Morales, The Locus of ControlTest of Levenson and Beck Hopelessness
Scale. The results indicate that the satisfaction they get these people (men and
women) of family life, work, friends and other aspects of their lives is minimal or
nonexistent. However, there is some difference in favor of people with higher levels
of instruction as to the satisfaction of one's life, it tends slightly to increase as is
increasedyears of schooling. A tendency to set and meet personal goals is seen in
people with higher education. A large number of residents of these settlements
assume, in part, the responsibility for what happens in their lives. The level of
education is the variable that is associated with higher levels of psychological
resources for possible emerging step towards overall wellness
