Can you do it?

Time: 12-15 min.
Level: Lower intermediate
Materials: worksheet, white board, markers
Objective: to find out about people’s abilities by asking and answering questions using can,could, or be able to.

Procedure:

1. Students work individual

2. Teacher gives to each student a card

3. Teacher gives instructions “you are responsible to find out theinformation on your cards by speaking to everybody in the class. You have to put a check next to a sentence each time somebody answers yes, I can or yes I could”.

4. Students start asking to everybodyin the class

5. Students finish asking and sit down again

6. Teacher asks students to talk about the information they have found out.
