HORMONA ANTIDIURETICA (ADH)
La hormona antidiurética (ADH) ovasopresina es un factor de gran importancia en la regulación del contenido de agua del organismo, su principal efecto consiste en permeabilizar al agua los túbulos colectores de la nefrona y aumentar el paso de agua desde estos túbulos hacia el intersticio hipertónico de la médula renal Produce, por lo tanto, concentración de la orina y disminución de su volumen, retención de agua y disminución de lapresión osmótica de los líquidos corporales. Su falta causa, por el contrario, eliminación de grandes volúmenes de orina muy diluida (diabetes insípida).

El control de la secreción de ADH se efectúa a través del hipotálamo, en el cual existen receptores capaces de detectar pequeñas variaciones de la osmolaridad del líquido intersticial. Estos osmoceptores...
