Taylor Alison Swift is anAmerican songwriter and singer. This beautiful young lady is world-famous for her 50’s style, her wild blonde curly hair, her voice and her inspirational lyrics.
Taylor was born on 13th December,1989 in Pennsylvania, United States. When she was on 4th grade she won a national poetry contest with a three-paged poem named “Monster in my closet”. When she was only twelve she started writing simplesongs and singing in karaokes. She also wrote a novel with 350 pages which has never been published. When she was fourteen, her family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where she started to write songswith some country composers. She took part in a contest in “The Blue Bird Café” that caught the eye of a producer who offered her a contract with “Big Machine Records”.
Her first album came out in2006 and it was called “Taylor Swift”. This album marked the longest stay on the Billboard 200 (a famous list of the 200 best international songs). It charted in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom andthe United States. The second one was called “Fearless” and it came out in 2008. This has amazingly been one of the best sold albums in USA, selling more than 6.173.000 copies. During the first weekafter it came out ,“Fearless” got to number one on the Billboard 200. It’s the most awarded country album in the music history. With “Fearless” Taylor won 4 Grammy out of the 8 she was nominated for.The third and last album came out in 2010 and it was called “Speak Now”. This album sold 1,044,447 copies on the first 7 days only. It has also been considered the most sold album on the first week inthe female music industry, overcoming Shania Twain. It has sold over 3 million copies in the USA and 2,5 million copies worldwide so far.
