The story is developed in two provinces of Italy named Perugia and Betona, the first one famous by the education and modern life that can be found there andthe second one is where our main character lives, it also happens to take place in England but only by the memoirs that the characters bring only in certain situations. The story is written in thepresent time but it also brings memories from the past specially when the story is building up, our characters also imagine what kind of things could happen to them so it also includes in certain pointsof the story the future time. The main character of the story is named Oliver a handsome man forty-seven years old, with gray hair, and open guileless features, Deborah a twenty-two girl of smoothskin, fair hair and delicate profile who resembled a lot to Angelica her mother and Oliver’s ex-wife.

The story begins in a little café place in Perugia where Oliver often drinks cappuccino, hethought he had seen his daughter Deborah, the one who he abandoned and never saw again since she was a kid, the idea of his daughter coming to see him started growing in his mind so he immediately ranto his home in Betona, he would wait for her until she visited him on his modest place, he waited all day long, but the girl didn’t step at this house, but Why was this so? The reason was thatDeborah the smooth skin girl didn’t know that Oliver was his father, ever since she was a little kid her mother neither her family didn’t mention about the existence of her father, she even thought that herfather had died when she was very young, in fact she was in Perugia because of her studies. Oliver started remembering memories of his past and how he did abandon his little daughter, “Angelica wasnever easy” that’s the reason he gave in his mind to all the troubles him and his ex-wife had when they made the mistake of getting married, a mistake that Angelica always talked about with Deborah...
