Episode 7: Holmes Goes to Stoke Moran
Holmes laughed after Dr. Roylott left. “Well he seems like a nice fellow, don't you think?"

We went into Julia’s bedroom. Holmes carefully studied every item.Sunddenly he pointed to a bellrope hanging from the ceiling. “What bell does this ring?” he asked.
“It goes to the housekeeper’s room,” replied Helen. “My stepfather put it there two years ago.”Holmes pulled on the rope. “I’ve seen many bell-ropes, but none like this one. It’s fastened to a hook on the ceiling near that little air vent. It doesn’t ring a bell at all. And look at this vent. Itdoesn’t go to the outside. How strange¡ A dummy bell-rope and a vent that provides no air. I’ve been a detective since I was a young man, but I’ve never found anything like this¡”
