Early Years
Marilyn Manson was born in Canton, Ohio. He is the only child of Barbra Warner (maiden name Wyer) and Hugh Warner. As a child, he attended his mother's Episcopal church, though hisfather was Catholic. Warner attended Heritage Christian School from first grade to tenth grade. He later transferred to Cardinal Gibbons School and graduated from there in 1987, and later attendedBroward Community College where he graduated as a journalist for the magazine South Florida Lifestyle Magazine, 25th Parallel, which allowed him to make his first contact with music, especially with theartists he interviewed.
Early in his career
In 1989, Manson formed in Florida the band “Marilyn Manson & The spooky kids” but for 1992, the name was shortened to “Marilyn Manson”. In the earlyyears of the band he was involved with several musicians with whom he recorded his first album. In the summer of 93 attracted the attention of one of the most important exponents of the metal industry inthat time, Trent Reznor, lead singer of Nine Inch Nails. Reznor took up the production of the first album of the band in 1994 called Portrait of an American Family, which achieved Gold certificationin the United States.
Years after his beginning
After his beginning in the music, He continued making music, but also made a film debut as an actor in 1997, in the film "Lost Highway", has sincemade small roles, as in the film "Jawbreaker" with his ex-girlfriend, Rose McGowan in 1998. Actor Johnny Depp said he was inspired by Manson for his performance as Willy Wonka in the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Marilyn expressed interest in playing the same role ofWilly Wonka and apparently was the first choice of the director, but various scheduling conflicts made it impossible
