Every thing that we do in our lives has a risk, from taking the bus to practicing an extreme sport, but are some jobs and activities that have added risk like being asoldier, a miner, farmer, etc. Also, we do hardazous activities for our entertainment, like base jumping, paragliding, or rafting, only to have a good time and fun. On my opinion it’s necessary to takerisks in our lives but if you are a person that doesn’t like risk because you consider the risks too dangerous, I recommend you stay home, relax and once a year go and enjoy some risky activities, toget rid of stress and have a good time. Statistics show that more than half of young people like to take some risk in their life. I think this is because we don’t have the same respect andconsciousness about life than older people that have more respect for life. As we all know there are some professions that require you to put your life in risk. I have two different theories about why thesepeople put their lives in risk; the first one is because they don’t have enough money for their livelihoods, and the second one is they like to feel the adrenaline in their bodies and the emotion they feelpracticing this job.
As soon as we think on risky activities, we think about their consequences, or don’t we? Personally, I would do all activities that involve jumping from a high distance, aparachute, a boat, because I want to have some experiences to tell about it and the emotion you feel doing it. After we do these activities, we feel good, excited and happy – don’t we? I can’t imaginemy mom doing those extreme activities, I think she wouldn’t do base jumping or cliff jumping because she is extremely risk averse, but I think she would eat fugu fish, because my family likes goodfood, and the experts says this is one of the most delicious foods in the world. Furthermore, fugu is prepared with very high safety standards, so it wouldn’t be much of a problem for any of us.
