Colombia had throughout its history a long and varied range of violence since its colonization and conquest by the Spanish, followed by the civil wars of the call time ofviolence and actual conflicts of multiple armed .
The People's Liberation Army (PLA) is a Colombian guerrilla group, the armed wing of the Communist Party of Colombia - Marxist Leninist. In response to all these guerrilla groups formed in 1979 counterrevolutionary groups in the Middle Magdalena peasant self-defense groups,born in the livestock sector, in order to stop the advance of the revolutionary forces in the region, then spread to Antioquia, Cordoba , the plains and the rest of the country.
