Shooting in Batman movie
Authorities have lowered to 12 the number of confirmed deaths from the shooting in a theater in Denver (Colorado), with at least 38 injuries of varying degrees, accordingto figures compiled by CNN.
Local media in Denver, as the 9News channel, put the number of wounded at fifty, although the numbers are still confused as they at first spoke of 14 deaths by shootingat a cinema in which projected the premiere of the latest Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises".
Police said the shooting began shortly after midnight on Thursday in a complex of theaters thatshowed the new Batman movie, "The Dark Knight" (The Dark Knight Rises).
James Wilburn, who was in the second row of seats in the Century Room 9 complex, told The Denver Post that a man dressed in blackand wearing a mask, entered through an emergency door at the front of the room.
Witnesses indicate that the attacker was dressed similarly to Batman antagonist in the film that cast a terroristnamed "Bane", which has the face covered by a mask and threatened to detonate a bomb in a metropolis.
