However, if a community is full of drugs the kids are at risk of being approached by a drug dealer and for variousreasons go into being drug dealers and use drugs in the future. The family also has its risk factors towards the youth. If an adolescent is constantly seeing arguments between their parents, there isa chance that the child will see that as being something that is common and acceptable in society. They will take on the habit of getting into fights and arguments all the time because they have seenthat their parents can do it.
If an adolescent also lives in a home where no one from the family has been able to graduate from high school, they will see that there is nothing wrong with them notgraduating either, and will see it as something acceptable. Their parents will not be able to speak to them about the benefits of having an education because it is something they know nothing of sincethey have not had that personal experience.
There are also other risk factors in the community, for example the availability of drugs. The availability of drugs is so great in communities that anyadolescent at one point or another will get curious and try a drug that is being sold around them. Drugs for youth seem to be an escape from the real world issues that they are facing. An example of adrug used as an escape is marijuana.
