C."), es la capital de los estados unidos americanos Se trata de una entidad diferente a los 50 estados que componen dicha nación, y depende directamente del gobierno federal de los estados unidos.

George Washington (n. 22 de febrero de 1732 – † 14 de diciembre de 1799) fue el primer Presidente de los Estados Unidos (1789–1797).Fue el Comandante en jefe de las fuerzas estadounidenses en la Guerra de la Independencia de los Estados Unidos (1775–1783), y posteriormente se convirtió en el primer Presidente de los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica, cargo que ocupó desde 1789 hasta 1797. Debido a su importante participación en la fundación de los Estados Unidos, Washington es conocido como «Padre de la Nación estadounidense». 
Benjamin Franklin
1706-1790 Entre los fundadores de Estados Unidos, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton y John Adams que hicieron contribuciones prácticas a la naciente sociedad estadounidense, fue Benjamín Franklin quien personificó el ingenio y la energía creativa que caracteriza el espíritu estadounidense.
