Nelson Mandela is a South African politician who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.
Nelson Mandela was a good leader because he fought forhis country South Africa, had a multiracial democracy and was the armed wing of the African National Congress (ANC) in 1962 was arrested and convicted of sabotage, and other charges, to lifeimprisonment. He was 27 years in prison, most of which was confined in prison on Robben Island. After his release on February 11, 1990, Mandela led his party in the negotiations for a multiracial democracy inSouth Africa, which was achieved in 1994 with the first democratic elections by universal suffrage.  Mandela won the elections and was president from 1994 to 1999, oftengiving priorityto reconciliation.
In South Africa, Mandela is known as Madiba, an honorary title bestowed by the elders of Mandela's clan, was also called Tata.
Received over 250 international awards for four decades,including the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize.
Also I think Nelson Mandela is a great leader because he always had the preparation emotionally, mentally and spiritually to be a great lider, also I think he is a greatleader because despite the extreme violence which he lived was always peace-loving. He never wanted war.
Also he never warm feelings of resentment or revenge for his imprisonment in jail, Because hehas finally set the stage for South Africa's racial integration, although recently his country was bleeding in the most barbaric racism was known.
Also Because his sympathy, his charisma andhis feelings of love and brotherhood, has crossed international borders and has become a paradigm for a humanity that still suffer from segregation and violence.
