VIAJE A MERIDA
TRIP TO MERIDA
Mi experiencia inicia el 2 de enerode 2012, cuando un grupo de amigos y yo planeamos un viaje a la ciudad de Mérida, ya que estábamos en la fecha de vacaciones y la temporada de frío iniciaba en esa ciudad, y saldríamos al día siguiente de aquí a Puerto Cabello.- En la madrugada del día 03 nos dirigimos a Mérida, por la carretera a San Carlos, de ahí a la autopista Rafael Caldera, atravesando los llanos venezolanos, hastaBarinitas-Estado Barinas, y desde allí hasta la carretera del páramo venezolano.
My experience begins on January 02, 2012, when a group of friends of mine and I planned a trip to the Merida city, because we are on vacations and the cold season would start in that place, we would leave to the next day from here Puerto Cabello. At morning of the day 03, we went to Merida, for the San Carlos road, then tothe Rafael Caldera highway crossing the Venezuelan plains until Barinitas, Barinas state, and from there to the road of Venezuelan moor.
La partida fue un poco tarde ya que una vez estuvimos reunidos todos, recibo una llamada telefónica de mi madre, que me pide que la ayude a reparar una tubería de agua que se rompió al encender la bomba y no fue sino hasta las 8:00 a.m. que pudimos partir. Todoel camino fue de lo mejor, mucho tráfico de motos, y no fue sino hasta llegar a Barinitas que nos enteramos que en la Ciudad de Mérida, se efectuaba el Encuentro Anual de Motorizado, esto sería a la hora del medio día y decidimos almorzar en la zona, para tomar la vía del Paramo más activos. Gasolina y a las subidas, llegamos a la segunda parada que nos trazamos La Laguna de Mucubaji, estiramoslas piernas, unas fotos y seguimos en vía para llegar a tiempo a la tercera parada que sería el Pico del Águila.
We left a little late because when all we were already together, I receive a call phone from my mom to help her repair a broken water pipe; so we left at 8:00 am. The way was good, there was motorcycle traffic but then we found out that in this place it would be carried out AnnualMeeting of motorized, was already the noon hour and we decided have a lunch for then take de moor road with more energy. We put gasoline and we started to travel the mountain climb, to arrive at the Mucubaji lagoon, our second stop, we stretched our legs and we took pictures and then we continue our road for the third stop on the El Aguila beak.
Al llegar al Pico nos encontramos que estaba nevando yque más nos queda disfrutar de la nevada, duramos un rato y partimos, cometiendo un error que nos costaría horas de camino. En el pico hay que dar vuelta en U y regresar por dónde veníamos, cosa que no hicimos y seguimos derecho hasta llegar a una Estación de Gasolina, y preguntamos qué cuanto nos faltaba para Mérida, el bombero nos dice que si veníamos de Barinitas nos equivocamos que estábamos enTrujillo, y que teníamos aproximadamente 3 horas de vía, porque debido a la nevada la neblina se pondría muy densa para poder conducir por la zona.
Finally we reached the peak, where it was snowing, we stay a while to enjoy the snow and then we would leave again, we did not know that we had made a mistake in the path, because to go our way, we had to turn around in U and we did not; until wearrive to gas station where the worker say to us that we are wrong and we was in the Trujillo state therefore we had at least 3 hours to return our road because was a dense mist wich is very difficult driving in that area.
Pues nada a subir, hasta el pico. Ya es las 7:00 pm, cuando llegamos al pico, el viaje comenzó a hacerse más estresante, el cansancio, pero ya estábamos acá no había vuelta...
