Procedure

The samples been taken the Thursday 12 of July 2012 in two different sites. The first one was in ‘”Sistema de Relleno Sanitario” in Carolina PR at 9:51am. The sample area is localizedin the west side of the landill, the wind direction was northeast, the water had a brown and green color. The temperature was 29.9 ˚C and the pH 7.3. Near of the area were latrine and tire.There wereno signs in the area to warn of water quality. This sampling area was at 1 meter and a half from the main entrance of the landfill.
The second sampling was performed in the Rio Grande de Loiza at10:50 am The motion of the flow was towards northwest. The water had a greenish color. . He himself had a temperature of 30.5 ˚ C and had a pH of 7.4. There was trash and the wind direction was from thenortheast.
It took three samples of 100 ml each in each sampling area these were filtered with membrane filtration EPA1600 or after the six samples were plated with 5 ml Sabouraud agar
