(a). in earlier times immigrant groups were ashamed of their backgrounds. This is not happening today. Immigrant groups are now proud of who theyare, and there is an appreciation of other cultures.

(b). Cities like London, New York and Toronto are examples of how people of different religions, races and backgrounds have learned to livetogether. They have absorbed new customs and traditions, and you would think that they have lost their identity. This has not happened. Maybe the fact that they are away from their roots has forced themto try to keep their language, celebrations and traditions.

(c).Even though immigrant groups have to adapt quicly and second generations may somehow lose a part of their backgrounds, identity isnever lost and new traditions are borm.

(d). Globaliztion, immigration, communications and other factors related to modern life are changing our minds to wards other cultures.But are people losingtheir traditions and becoming homogenized?
