The constant gardener
The constant gardener is a film of the famous director Fernando Meirelles, and the main characters are Ralph Fiennes (Justin Quayle) and Rachel Weisz (Tessa Quayle)
The filmstarts with the meeting of Justin, a british diplomat of the Government of the UK, and Tessa, an activist that was there when justin gave a conference to explain some decisions of the government.They fell in love and suddenly they got married. they went to Africa for unknown motives, where one day Tessa appeared dead with a doctor, that was helping her, in the lake Turkana.
In that moment,Justin wanted to know why Tessa has died, and he discovered that tessa was investigating about Dypraxia, a medicine done by a British laboratory, that was been testing in Kenya, and many people died.This meant that the laboratory was corrupted. Justin searched why Tessa did all her movements, and when Justin discovered all the secrets of Tessa and Dypraxia, A African group of African soldierskilled him in the same lake that died Tessa.
The places where the movie takes place are London, Kenya, and many kenyan towns. In London takes places the meeting of Justin and Tessa, and many historiesabout the british government. In Kenya takes place most of the scenes of the movie, and the development in general, as for example the investigations that did Tessa and Arnold, his kenyan friend, withthe help of Sandy, an important manager of the British government
The main Characters are very different. Justin is a diplomat, very polite and serious, and he seems loyal. Tessa is an activist,very passional and with strong character. Sandy is a very elegant men, very ambitious and traitorous. Arnold is very loyal, and good person. There are more characters like Pellegrin, a member of thehigh commission, or Wanza Kilulu, one of the died childs because of Dypraxia.
In conclusion, the constant gardener is a drama about the fake drugs and the corruption in Africa. My favorite character...
