Abstract
A high rate of Hispanic speaking population is concentrating in the borders of the United States that have direct limits with Spanish speaking groups. This leads to an accelerated mixture of cultures and languages. As immigrants concentrate in certain areas of the United States, English speaking population becomes a minority or anotherof the major groups in these areas, which produces wide effects in the original country. Interaction between people who speak different languages and the introduction of new traditions to the country results in diversity that is applied through different ways.
These ways include interaction in institutions both Hispanic immigrants and native population attend to, for example, schools. When thesehave a strong number of Hispanic speakers, which can commonly happen in an immigrant populated state, an interaction between cultures has to occur, even when English speakers are a majority, though in mostly southern states, they are not. More of these ways are the divisions of art, as immigrants are able to carry the art of their cultures to the places they now live in.
These acceleratedchanges are having an effect in various ways of the culture and language of the United States, which are, at the same time, a reflection their society. The changes will not stop as long as this society lives, so there is a possibility that we could eventually find a constant, rapidly changing culture in the society of the US of the future years. As immigrants continue to move to the demographical areasthat contain a wider diversity of culture due to immigration itself, the changes in culture and language of the United States will keep an accelerated and diverse pace.

This is particularly notorious in US’s southern states (We must take into account that these states are the closest border to the Hispanic American countries). Investigations have been done regarding the foreign language speaking population in the United States, and when we compare this decrease in the use of Englishlanguage to the increase of Spanish speaking population, it becomes clear that the language is being lost in these areas of the country due to the cultural clash.|

To study this problem, my investigation will focus on answering the question “How have Hispanic American immigrants affected culture and language in the southern border states of the United States?”. This work intends to answerthis question by analyzing the growth of the Spanish, (the only language spoken at Hispanic America) speaking population in relation to the English speaking population, with the purpose of establishing concrete ideas of how this social aspect is affecting the English language and culture, using the information we have about the topic to propose effects...
