Wilding Gone Wild

Torrent woke with his usual scream from his usual nightmare, which usually he couldn’t remember, but this one was different. He could remember this one, but now, he wished he couldn’t… It had been three years since his sister’s murder in a wilding. He is now her age, but this time he won’t be as helpless.

It allbegan in fifth grade. In fifth grade, Torrent’s dad took him to the museum of All Things Computer. It was there that his passion for hacking began.

Now, in eighth grade, he is going to become the most popular guy in the class. He had been studying the technical process of turning into an animal during wilding. The hacking wasn’t the hard part. It was deciding which animal he wanted to be.He decided he’d be the most ferocious creature he could think of… the Giganotosaurus…

“Remember class, once you get there you must get a hand print scan so you can see what type of animal you will be!” We were finally there! The famous wilding arena! I couldn’t wait to see all the girl’s faces as I turned into a dinosaur. This would be a night to remember…

As I was going through thethree beams, I could already feel the vast primal instincts surge through me like… well… a torrent. As I finally went through the third beam, I looked no bigger than a velociraptor, but I noticed a gradual growth, as expected. If I were to go “big dino” right after the third beam, then my height would literally go through the roof. So as quickly as I could, I headed straight for the doors. Assoon as I was through, I headed for a large tree forest where I could finish growing. Once I was in the forest, the humidity slammed into me along with its soothing smells. After about six minutes, I was at my full height, and let out a bone chilling roar that scared me even. After testing a few motor skills, I set off at a sprint toward an opening where I thought most of the class would be.That’s when I heard it. It was like hearing a ghost. I acted instantly… with great long strides and powerful steps, I raced and rammed through trees, rocks, and boulders that stood in my path. I felt a rage that I had not felt since my sister’s murder. It drove me on, faster and faster, scouring the ground for any sign of the one who had made the sound. Soon the smell of blood came which drove meeven faster. I arrived at the crime scene only to find the poor crumpled body a dead tortured girl only half way through her transformation back to human. I tried to vomit, get the picture out, but I couldn’t. I was too horrified to move. Then a torrent of rage swept through my body. Angry as hell, I let loose the roar of ages, the roar that signaled I was out for blood! I heard a shrillscream again this time closer. I raced toward it. My eyes were so blood shot with anger that almost everything seemed to be splattered with blood. I arrived this time on time. This was something I didn’t expect. The most ferocious crocodiles, large cats, wolves, bears and even a komodo dragon surrounded a girl, already with more claw and teeth marks than one could count, trembling and strugglingto keep her feet. Then, a leopard pounced forward, claws extended. With a roar that was a cross between a challenge and a threat, I burst through ten large trees that snapped like toothpicks. Snatching up the leopard with my mouth, I crushed it to no longer breathe again. Then, faster than I could think, all the predators launched themselves at me, furious that I had killed one their comrades.With claws scratching and jaws gnashing, a thousand needles of pain cut through me, but I was larger than the great king rex himself, and with a powerful shake I threw all the attackers off me. Some snapping spines against trees, some lucky to land on their feet. But still, they came at me. I stomped, whirled my tail, and crushed the evil souls in my jaws until every last one of them was...
