1.- Introduction: I have always been interested in Science , so when one of our teachers told us about the presentation for the exam I immediately thought that I wanted to talk aboutthat. Among all the topics which science covers I have chosen Pollution because it is a very serious problem in our planet. I think that when there is a problem we need to look for a solution to it. Ifwe know more about that issue we can have many ideas for solving pollution.

2.- What is pollution : Pollution is the introduction of a contaminant into the environment. It is created mostly byhuman actions (eg: factories that throw away rubbish to the rivers) or It can also be a result of natural disasters(eg: tsunamis , tornados or floods). Pollution has a negative effect on any livingorganism in an environment, making life more difficult.

3.- types of pollution ( land , water and air ): The three main types of pollution are: Land , Water and Air Pollution.
Land Pollution
LandPollution is contamination of the soil caused by industrial, commercial, domestic and agricultural activities. Some of the sources are :
* Chemical and nuclear plants
* Industrial factories
*Oil refineries
* Human sewage
* Mining
* Littering
* Overcrowded landfills
* Deforestation
* Construction debris.

How to prevent land pollution

The best way to preventland pollution is to recycle. Here are a few other ways you can reduce land pollution:

* Reuse any items that you can
* Buy biodegradable products
* Store all liquid chemicals and wastein spill-proof containers
* Eat organic foods that are grown without pesticides
* Don’t use pesticides
* Use a drip tray to collect engine oil
* Buy products that have littlepackaging
* Don’t dump motor oil on the ground
