Demography is a science based on theory, and its rich in quantification. Frank Notesteins named the modern demography by “Population studies”, but he wasn’t the first Adolph Landry called “larevolution demographique”. However the name all refers to the essential states that society that experience modernization progress, that regime the high fertility and high mortality to a postmodern.
Theterm modernization is not defined. Transition theory lies about the Centre of modern scientific demography (“the central preoccupation of modern demography”), it has classifications by the fertilityand mortality.
Warren Thompson classifies three types of countries with different rates of population:
* Group a: were those who falling rates of increase, and were facing potential populationdecline, mortality is low and rapidly declining fertility.
* Group b: both birth and death rates has fallen but death rated has decline earlier, more than birth rates, population growing fast,until falling birth rates, and declining population.
* Group c neither birth nor death rates were under control, as Malthusian classified.
