Type of Containers
The exterior dimensions of all containers conforming to ISO standards are 20 feet long x 8 feet wide x 8 feet 6 inches high or 9 feet 6 inches high for high cube containers.
1. Dry Container or Hard Top Container:

Dry Container of 20': The standard container of 20', also known as dry van is the most used worldwide. You can carry almost any load, thanks to itsversatility. This container has a capacity of maximum gross weight (mgw) of 24 t. However, some have been built to withstand 30 tons (mgw), extending its range of possibilities.

Dry Container of 40': This unit was created to allow its full capacity utilization (mgw) when carrying bulky loads. Dry container 40 'can be made of steel or aluminum, which does not alter its purpose or capacity.

2. Flat Rack Container 20 and 40 feet:

Flat rack containers are designed for loads with irregular edges, with dimensions that extend beyond internal measures of dry container. They come in three different models: with fixed front panels, without front panels, and folding front panels. Thelatter can vary in their methods of lifting and bending their front panels through the use of special springs and locking devices. The advantage of containerized cargo flat rack lies primarily in the use of only one lashing and also speed loading and unloading of goods.

3. Open Top Container:
The open topcontainers were developed for certain charges that are not eligible to be entered through the door. Homelessness, the load is through the roof stowed. A tarp secured by hook covers and protects the load. The open-top container is built on two basic dimensions: 20 'and 40'.

4. Platforms Container (Plats):
Platforms are used principally for oversized and very heavy cargoes. Platforms consist solely of a floor structure with extremely high loading capacity; they have no side or end walls. This high loading capacity makes it possible to concentrate heavy weights on small areas. A platform consists of a steel frame and a wooden floor structure.Platforms are available in 20' and 40' sizes. 40' platforms have a gooseneck tunnel at each end. Lashing rings, to which the cargo may be secured, are installed in the side rails. The lashing rings may take loads of up to 3.000 kg.
