Since media existed, every day we are exposed to advertisements. Ads are seen by a person hundreds of times every day. Most of them are seen without realizingthat we have watched them. But researches assure that the message they transmit stay at viewers unconscious mind. Million of ads seen around the world transmit information to billions of people, but,What if I told you that some of them have subtext or subliminal messages that are kept in our minds? And what is worse, it is not possible to control this for the only reason that we do not perceivethem.
Millions of dollars are spent on the creation of ads and millions of dollars are spent by putting them on the media, in consequence, nothing is left behind, no missing details, no missinginformation. The objective of a corporation is to earn money, and advertisement is the only way or the only connection between the brand and the buyer.
The people in charge of the creation of the adsare specialist on people’s mind or they are psychologists. They are on the customers shoe, what is he thinking? What does he feel? What is his view of the world? They know how to affect someone’s mindand in order to do this; they create a good effect on people about their product. Last researches demonstrate that subliminal messaging has grown in the industry, ads creator are interested on thepersuasiveness of the final ad.
So how can something that we don't notice affect our behavior? Well, unheeded doesn't mean unseen. Let us first understand how our perception works.
