The language in the United States
It is called language to the system of association between ideas and sounds or gestures that each human group possess. This system has thefollowing components:
• Phonology (sounds)
• Morphology (words)
• Syntax (own grammar)
• Semantics (meanings)
• Pragmatics (cultural meanings etc.)

Dialectal variations
Because of its large size and the varied ethnic backgrounds of its population of over 315 million people, U.S has a lot of dialects. Midwestern United States
The region consists of 12 states in the north-central United States: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota,Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
The accents of the region aregenerally distinct from those of the South and of the urban areas of the American Northeast. To a lesser degree, they are also distinct from the accent of theAmerican West.
The accent characteristic of most of the Midwest is considered by many to be that of "standard" American English or General American. This accent is preferred by many national radio and television broadcasters.[63]
This mayhave started because many prominent broadcast personalities—such as Walter Cronkite, Harry Reasoner, Johnny Carson, David Letterman, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Brokaw, John Madden, and Casey Kasem—came from this region and so created this perception. The dialect of Minnesota, western Wisconsin, much of North Dakota and Michigan's Upper Peninsula is referred to asthe Upper Midwestern Dialect (or "Minnesotan"), and has Scandinavian andCanadian[citation needed] influences.
Missouri has elements of three dialects, specifically: Northern Midland, in the extreme northern part of the state, with a distinctive variation in St. Louis and the surrounding area; Southern Midland, in the majority of the state; and Southern, in the southwestern and southeastern parts...
