How far was the USSR responsible for the development of the Cold War?

From 1945 to 1989, these years were recognized as the “Cold War”era. Cold War (is the term used to describe periods of hostility and high tension between states that stops just short of war). In this period of time, this was the situation of the two great post-warsuperpowers, the United States of America and the Soviet Union (USSR). These two powerful countries emerged (after WWII) as the competing countries following the defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945.Problems between these two countries started when the Third Reich fell. Stalin wanted Eastern Europe’s war damaged nations to become Communist, to ensure that there was absolutely no opportunity that Germanybecome a strong power again. Western powers agreed that Germany shouldn’t be enabled to rise again but many Western politicians disliked the idea of Eastern Europe becoming Communist nations. Westernpowers knew that Stalin was a dangerous man when he couldn’t achieve his purposes so they were afraid that with a Communist East fronting a Capitalist West, disputes could escalate into another war.We can’t say 100% precisely who was the responsible for the starting of the Cold War, but there were different points of view.
The Orthodox (traditional) view generally holds that it was the SovietUnion who was responsible for the Cold War for several reasons:
1. It states that they were inevitably expansionist due to their Marxist theory which advocated the need to spread revolutionthroughout other countries.
2. Stalin violated the agreements stated at Yalta and Potsdam
3. Occupied and imposed Soviet Control in Eastern Europe
4. Spread Communism throughout the world withMoscow at its center
So in fact, these aims of expansionism that the Soviet Union had after WWII, weren’t recent, the Soviet Union was following the ideologies of Marxism and Leninism to achieve...
