EDUCATION

Every country in earth at the moment is reforming public education. There are two reasons for it:
The first one is economic. People try to work out how do we educate our children totake their a place in the economy of the 21 century. How do we do that? Given that we can’t anticipate what the economy will look like at the end of next week.
The second one is cultural. Everycountry on earth is trying to figure out how do we educate our children so they have a sense of cultural identity.
The problem is they’re trying to meet the future by doing what they did in the past.Alienating millions of kids who don’t see any purpose in going to school. When my parents went to school they told them that if you worked hard, did well and get a college degree, you will had a job.People don’t believe that anymore, is not guarantee anymore.
The problem is that the current system education was designed, conceived and structured for a different age.

What is education?Education in its general sense is the means through which the aims and habits of a group of people lives on from one generation to the next. Generally, it occurs through any experience that has aformative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts. In its technical sense, education is the formal process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills, customs and valuesfrom one generation to another, for example instruction in schools.

The school failure in Spain went from 26,6% in 1999-2000 to 30,8% in 2005-2006.
