Humocaro Alto Parish History
Its real name is San Antonio de los naranjos, parish capital whith the same name, located at 11 km far from Humocaro Bajo it´s meaning 15 minute by car. This is a ville much more smaller than Humocaro Bajo, and you can say that is situated by 3943 at level sea, beside that is identify as Andes Gate. His tourist attributive are : National Park Dinira Dinira, Lodgin´sfalls Collection, Archbishop`s falls, Zumbador`s cave, Buenos Aires´s hills, and the Nuestra Señora de la Coromoto`s Monastery.
The history chronology emphasize that its parish foundation was done upon 1610 but there is some tale story sustaing reports that was not happen this way, but the founder arrival was upon 1610 following by a real foundation 2 years later After the gayones nativesubmition.

The parish name is debate by two source:
In the fisrt place because this zone was occupy by a native tribe named Umocaro.
And the other reason is the war posture showed by the natives in the presence of spanish penetration.

The park is vital source of wáter to diverse rivers as a matter of fact is considerate as important wáter reserv from afar villaje as nearest cities and those located in semidesert areas like El tocuyo, Quibor, in Lara Estate. Besides the flowing ofTocuyo’s river, here is the flowin of Guanare’s rivers wich feed the Tucupido Dam. In North Flow born the rivers Curarigua and Morere. Just to the West the rivers Jirajara, Carache and Monay, Motatán flowing, which end in Maracaibo Lake. On south there is the flowin of Bocono river.
