In the article Bullies on the Bus, the author is Charles M. Blow discusses about how Karen Klen, a 68 years-old grandmother and bus monitor inupstate NY, has being relentlessly tormented by a group of young boys. His main point is that those boys are us, or at least too many of us. Moreover he emphasizes thatAmerica at its ugliest. It is part of society that sees the week and vulnerable as a worthy of derision and animus. Finally he states that the bullying in our politics. Thoseboys were trying to exert power over a person placed there to rein them in. But bullying is always about power; projecting more than you have in order to accrue more thanyou share.
With regard to the issue of Bullies on the Bus, I absolutely agree with Charles M. Blow. In my opinion, we need to consider that one of the major causes isthat the parent doesn’t teach their children how to treat another child who is different from you in many ways or aspects. From my point of view it’s a good idea that thegovernment emends the law so that the parents of those children who like to be a bully or the ones who are bullies get more responsibilities. I would like to illustratemy opinion with the following example: “The country is changing, and that change is creating friction between the tradition ruling classes and emerging ones; betweensocial structure and altered ones; between a long held vision of an American ideal and growing reality that its time has passed”. In conclusion I think that it’s a good ideato give a conference to the children as well to the parents about what do people who are constantly being bully feel? And what is a bully? What makes them being bully?.
