AMBIENTES VIRTUALES DE APRENDIZAJE UNA NUEVA EXPERIENCIA VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT FOR LEARNING A NEW EXPERIENCE *

Abstract ID: 1510 When we are making projets for superior distance education with new technologies we consider necessary to look for the convengence of a propitious atmosphere for learning an the creation of new proposals for professionaldevelopment and a life time formation, where the combined use of pedagogics methods and selflearning materials facilitate educational and communicational process that implies the approach among the agents involved in the teaching-learning process. The learning evironment generated by the new technologies are not cicunscribed to the scoolar space or the formal education, neither to an educatioal form inparticular, we are talking about those evironments where the contidions are created for the individual acquisitions of new knowledge, abilities, experiences, and elements that generates on the individual an analysis and reflection processes and its appropriation. These new space facilitate the intercommunication among the actors of the process, but they don't garantee the propitiation of innovativepedagogics methods. In distance education the use of technological resources are a factor that should be attended in tehe planning and evaluation, it's expected that through them will be increase different forms of developing learning activities since these are planned to create the pedagogic and contextual conditions in wich the individuals are the main factor to form a "knowledge society". Allthe mentioned elements -the new communication, and information technologies, superior education, distance modality and the process actors- as well as the contnts of the didactic material presented in a virtual atmosphere, force to meditate, innovatave, to be creative and generate innovative pedagogic models that favors the human development and avoid to reproduce old pedagogies with newtechnologies.

AMBIENTES DE APRENDIZAJE
Entendemos por ambiente virtual de aprendizaje al espacio físico donde las nuevas tecnologías tales como los sistemas Satelitales, el Internet, los multimedia, y la televisión interactiva entre otros, se han potencializado rebasando al entorno escolar tradicional que favorece al conocimiento y a

la apropiación de contenidos, experiencias y procesospedagógico-comunicacionales. Están conformados por el espacio, el estudiante, el asesor, los contenidos educativos, la evaluación y los medios de información y comunicación. Los ambientes de aprendizaje no se circunscriben a la educación formal, ni tampoco a una modalidad educativa particular, se trata de aquellos espacios en donde se crean las condiciones para que el individuo se apropie de nuevosconocimientos, de nuevas experiencias, de nuevos elementos que le generen procesos de análisis, reflexión y apropiación. Llamémosle virtuales en el sentido que no se llevan a cabo en un lugar predeterminado y que el elemento distancia (no presencialidad física) está presente. La UNESCO (1998) en su informe mundial de la educación, señala que los entornos de aprendizaje virtuales constituyen una formatotalmente nueva de Tecnología Educativa y ofrece una compleja serie de oportunidades y tareas a las instituciones de enseñanza de todo el mundo, el entorno de aprendizaje virtual lo define como un programa informático interactivo de carácter pedagógico que posee una capacidad de comunicación integrada, es decir, que está asociado a Nuevas Tecnologías. Estos nuevos entornos de aprendizaje favorecidos conla incorporación de las tecnologías se potencian en la Educación a Distancia por ser un modelo donde la no presencia física entre quien enseña y quien aprende es su principal característica, y el uso de medios en su diseño de aplicación ha pasado por diferentes generaciones.
