Phantom/Reflective NPV Instructions
For v3.07.p (public) – by Madgeek
The Phantom/Reflective NPV is an advanced personal defense device, featuring a "reflection" system to reflect followers
and traps back onto the person that stuck them on you!
To use this device, simply rez the object from your inventory onto the ground or a nearby surface. The device will move
to your position, and thenyou must sit on it.
Once you have activated the device by sitting on it, you may move around as normal. The only restriction at this time is
that the device will prevent you from crossing a sim border.
The Phantom/Reflective NPV has a web-based control panel. You can customize many aspects of your NPV's behavior
directly from any web browser. Please read the settings section for moreinformation.

Reflection
Reflection is the mode in this NPV that allows you to "send" a following object back to the person that put it on you. To
trigger reflection, use one of the following chat commands. Please note that all chat command can be used on public
chat (channel 0) or on your alternate channel (8 by default). If your reflection target goes out-of-sim while you are
reflecting them, thereflection engine will go into standby and wait for it to return.
!reflect - Directly target someone via a partial spelling of their name. Case insensitive. Example use:
Typing "!reflect shim" will reflect a nearby user named "Crooked Shim". Please note that this can only target people up
to 96m away, if you want to go further you have to use the target's key (as described below).
!reflect -Target someone via their 36-digit UUID (key). They will be directly reflected. If you type an object's key,
weird things will happen, so don't :P
!reflect - This command will bring up a dialog menu, where you can trigger one of the following commands (which can
also be typed as indicated in bold):

!reflect stop - Stop the reflection engine. Has the same effect as simply pressing amovement key while you are
reflecting.
!reflect user - Brings up a dialog where you can select a nearby user to reflect.
!reflect object - Brings up a dialog with nearby objects, you can select an object and the owner of the object will
be reflected if they are in-sim.
!reflect auto - Tries to figure out if an object is following you, and if it detects something, will reflect it's owner. This will not work for all following objects, but it normally does a pretty good job.

Avoid-While-Reflecting (AWR)
AWR is now the default reflection engine! You do not have to activate it every time you sit anymore.
AWR lets you reflect people without using any animations, and places your avatar (and nametag!) at a larger offset from
your reflection target.
You can change the AWR offset byusing a distance parameter with the AWR command: !awr 54 would set the offset to
54 meters.

Type !awr off to revert to animation-based offsetting. You can re-enable AWR by typing !awr.

Camera Movement Commands
The Phantom/Reflective NPV has a full-featured camera movement engine. Using this, you can move around a sim
simply by moving your camera position.
To quickly move to a position,alt-cam to where you want to go. Now, just type !tp2cam. It may be helpful to create a
gesture that does this (and other movement commands). Keep in mind that all commands can be used on your alternate
channel (8 by default) as well.
To use the active-camera movement engine, anchor your camera to an object other than your avatar by alt-camming it.
Now, type !startcam. You will move to the alt-camposition just like !tp2cam. However, now you can move your camera
around, and your avatar will follow your camera position. This is a great way to zip around a sim very fast.
To stop the active-camera movement engine, simply press a movement key, or you can type !stopcam.

Teleporting
While you are sitting on the NPV, you can use the new teleport feature as another way to quickly get...
