Favorite Movie Time
My classmate’s two favorite movies are “Step Brothers” and “The Lady and the Tramp”. I was excited to watch “The Lady and the Tramp” because I love Disneymovies and I had never watched it before. However, I looked for it in Netflix and Red box and I unfortunately they did not have it. I tried to email my classmate but I got kept messages back saying thatmy email did not go through. Since the movie “Step Brothers” was repeatedly playing on television I decided it would be more convenient to watch that movie instead.
The movie is a comedy that, as thename implies, is about two spoiled and childish men who become step brothers. Although Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell) is nearly forty-years-old, he STILL lives with his mother Nancy (Mary Steenburgen)and conforms to get sporadic jobs. On the other part, Dale Doback (John C. Reilly) is an unemployed forty-year-old professional who lives with his father Robert (Richard Jenkins). When Nancy and Robertget married, the two parasites are forced to share a home and a bedroom, but due to their narcissism and aggressive laziness, a competition gets established among them. This competition eventuallycomes to cloud the relationship between their parents. This movie was released in 2008. The director of the movie is Adam McKay. The cinematographer is Oliver Wood, and the film editing was done byBrent White.
I am personally very picky when it comes to comedies. I prefer the ones that are naturally funny, instead of the ones who make evident that they do stupid things to get the watcher to laugh.I had watched parts of the movie “Step Brothers” before, but I had never sat down to watch it completely as I did for this assignment.
