English Essay- 36 Miles Per Gallon Vehicle
Our environment has been drastically affected for a long period of time and, the humanity has had
much to do in it. Still, we can all contribute to itsimprovement with ideas and wise decisions taken
in a daily basis. For example, to require a 36 miles per gallon vehicle is one brilliant idea that could
benefit us all in many ways in thelong term.
Most people in the present are being conscious about how important and serious is to
consider an idea like this one. According to a poll conducted by The Detroit Free Press, gasmileage was the most important factor shoppers consider when buying a car. Therefore,
people who are looking to buy fuel-efficient cars have quite a few options. Cars with the
best fueleconomy are all compact to mid-sized vehicles. Some have gas/electric hybrid
engines, while others have efficient traditional fuel-burning engines.
If we follow the rule that requires everyone tobuy a 36 mile per gallon vehicle, we'll all see
significant changes. First, we'll start by saving fuel cost each year. Second, it will reduce oil
dependence costs, (our dependence on oilmakes us vulnerable to oil market manipulation and price
shocks). Third and most important it will reduce climate change. Carbon dioxide (co2) from
burning gasoline and diesel contributes toglobal climate change.
On the other hand, if we don’t follow the rule, we and future generations will suffer the
consequences. As a result of our present actions our climate is going thrudrastic
changes. Our atmosphere is constantly changing because of these entire greenhouse
gases" we've contribute with. It's getting more energetic, as it's getting hotter.
Consequently, everycountry will be affected.
If we all act soon, we can reduce the risks from climate change for our benefit and,
