“Russian Revolution”


Introduction:

The Russian Revolution started in November,1917(October on the Russian Calendar) while Tsar Nicholas II was overthrown and Lenin and the Bolshevikstook power. This revolution is also called the Bolshevik Revolution or the October Revolution. Russia played a very important role in the world history, First with the Baltic states of Estonia,Latvia, and Lithuania.  Baltic peoples also played a major

role in the 1917 Revolution, particularly the Latvian Bolsheviks who comprised a key portion of the Red guards that defended the Bolsheviks.First of all, I’m going to focus with the main aspects of the Russian Revolution, mainly its causes and consequences.

The people of the Baltic territories where today the countriesof Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania exist were enslaved by serfdom from about the time of the 12th century to about the 19th century. The Baltic has been fought and ruled over by many different people,most notably ethnic German nobles, Poland, Sweden, and finally Tsarist Russia.
In Russia, 1905 all the people faitht’s in Nicholas II, the Russian Tsar, was waning. In that year, Russia was defeatedby the Japanese in number of navy battles. But the one event that unleashed a fury of mass action and set Russia well and truly on the path to revolution was the cold-blooded shooting of hundreds ofunarmed demonstrators in St Petersburg on 22 January 1905.

Some of the main causes of this Revolution were that; the czardom increasingly became an autocratic bureaucracy that imposed its will onthe people by force, with wanton disregard for human life and liberty, poor working conditions, Industrialization concentrated people in urban centers, where the exploited working class was a receptiveaudience, Non-Russian nationalities in the empire were repressed, the autocracy was upheld by the landed nobility and the


higher clergy; the capitalists desired a constitutional monarchy; the...
