Global Warming


People have to make conscience about global warming to reduce the changes and
effects of our future climate. Global warming is an increase in the average temperature of
the earth’s atmosphere, especially a sustained increase sufficient to cause climatic change.
Global Warming is caused by carbon dioxide. By 1983 global warming started with overall
rising temperaturesand different consequences because of human activity. Global Warming
has different parts such as: what will happen, how to make it healthier, how does it affect
the global civilization, things that damage the earth, flora and fauna, and most importantly
how to reduce global warming.
If global warming keeps going the same way as now, bad things can happen such as
rising sealevels, climate change or ocean currents. Rising sea levels are bad because if the
sea levels rise the ocean can cover lands and we will stay without a place to live. Climate is
the average pattern of weather over the long term. Climate change isn’t good either, be
cause it is getting colder and colder every day. There are climate variations such as volcanic
eruption that release differentkinds of particles to the troposphere or the lower atmos-
phere which causes a cooling effect. Also as the tectonic plates of the earth, adjusts it leads
to variation of the continents, which are called earthquakes. But these characteristics are all
natural stuff that happen which isn’t good. But it could be a sign to us that we are treating
the earth badly and that we have to take conscienceabout it. Ocean currents is a net trans
port of ocean water through a definite path. Ocean currents are bad because if the sea ice
melts and the glaciers melt it could change the ocean currents. When the ocean currents change some places could get drier when others could get more water.


We can make the earth healthier by recycling different kinds of stuff such asrecycling
aluminum cans, paper, cardboard, scrap metal, plastics, coal ash, fluorescent lamps, batte-
ries, foam peanuts, concrete, wood, and glass. When you recycle paper you save 3.5 cubic
yards of landfills, save 17 thirty foot of trees, save 7,000 gallons of water, save 380 gallons of
oil, save 4,100 kWh of energy, and eliminate 60 pounds of air pollutants Another way to
make the earthhealthier is using hybrid cars which reduce the use of energy and doesn’t
need gas at the same rate than normal cars.
Renewable resources are agricultural materials used as feedstocks for industrial
process. Different types of renewable resources are using solar energy which will reduce the
use of petroleum and oil for the electricity. Wind power which is used to turn on mechanicalmachinery to do physical work, scientist invented windmills to do this process. Hydropower
is another example of this. Hydropower is used to generate electricity using turbines of can
also be used mechanical to do work. Geothermal power is taken from the earth’s crust to
create energy. Alcohol can be substituted for non-renewable diesel.
Due to the contamination of the earththe global civilization is affected by the pollution
people create. Contamination is affected by the pollution people create. Contamination is the
introduction into water, air and soil of microorganisms, chemicals, toxic substances, wastes or
wastewater in a concentration that makes the medium unfit for its next intended use. Also ap-
plies to surfaces of objects, buildings, and varioushouseholds and agricultural use product.
Contamination can be caused by the gases thrown by cars, by natural resources, or by the
transforming of the petroleum to gasoline. We can start seeing changes in infectious diseases
because of contamination. As the temperature increases the mosquitoes would go to a higher
