The Convention on the Rights of the Child lists internationally acknowledged rights of children. The aim of the adoption of the convention was to emphasize something that adultstend to forget – a child is a human together with all the rights a parent has. The Convention on the Rights of the Child sees child as a subject of law or, to put in another way, as a holder ofrights. This means that a child is an individual who has human rights and no one has owner’s rights over the child, including parents.
La Convención sobre los Derechos del Niño enumera los derechos delos niños internacionalmente reconocido. El objetivo de la adopción de la convención era hacer hincapié en algo que los adultos tienden a olvidar - un niño es un ser humano con todos los derechos de unpadre tiene. La Convención sobre los Derechos del Niño considera niño como sujeto de derecho o, dicho de otra manera, como titular de los derechos. Esto significa que un niño es un individuo que tienelos derechos humanos y nadie tiene los derechos del propietario sobre el niño, incluyendo a los padres.
Derechos del niño son derechos humanos. Estos son los derechos que se aplican a todas laspersonas, independientemente de su edad, género, nacionalidad u otras características. Por lo tanto un niño tiene en su mayoría los mismos derechos que tienen los adultos. Cuando hablamos de derechosde un niño nos referimos a los derechos humanos del niño.
