Drugs are a substance that can be either helpful or harmful depending on the use a person gives it. There are different types of drugs, illegal drugs and legal drugs. Theillegal drugs are those that are punishable by law, such as marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy, etc.. Legal drugs are those that can be purchased in different stores, the ones that can be prescribed by a doctor,known as remedies, also they categorize cigarettes and alcohol as legal drugs and they are known for their ability to alter the functions of the body and for being very addictive. We live in a drugculture, from the morning when we wake up we take our daily caffeine at breakfast until evening, when we can relax and go home and drink an alcoholic beverage, or when we go to sleep and take asleeping pill prescribed by the doctor; we are in constant use of different substances that affect our central nervous system. Some people are in favor to legalize certain drugs(for example marijuana) andthey don’t think how the use of these substances can affect future generations and their own body. With so many legal drugs that affect the human body(for example alcohol and cigarets) they should notbe legalizing more drugs unless they are a hundred percent certain that these will not affect the human body or future generations in any way.
There are different types of drugs. An ilegal drug isany substance found in our country in an illegal way, and its consumption, purchase, sale and cultivation or production is not legalized. And if consumed by a person, is able to modify one or morebodily functions. There are different types of illegal drugs such as Narcotics, LSD, Ecstasy, Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin, etc. and they all have different effects in the human body and the drug dependencealso varies. Sometimes doctors prescribe ilegal drugs to patients for medicinal use, for example: marijuana for cancer patients.
