Expressing quantity

* Para expresar grandes cantidades: “Lots of” / “A lot of”
Lots of + nombre singular o plural

“Paul has lots of football balloons” (Paul tiene muchas pelotas defútbol)
A lot of + nombre singular o plural

“She got a lot of experience” (Ella tiene mucha experiencia)
* Para expresar grandes cantidades en frases negativas e interrogativas: “Many” / “Much”Many + nombre plural contable

“There aren’t many tourists” (No hay muchos turistas)
Much + nombre singular no contable

“You don’t have much knowledge” (No tienes mucho conocimiento)

* El“many” y el “much” también se combinan con “Too” y “So”.
- “Too” se utiliza para cantidades excesivas.
Too many + nombre plural contable

“There are too many cars in the parking”. (Hay demasiadosautos en el parking).

Too much + nombre singular incontable

“There is too much work”. (Hay demasiado trabajo).

* Para expresar cantidades más reducidas: “Little” / “Few”
- “Little / few”expresan un número reducido.
- “A little / A few” expresan la idea de una cantidad media.

Little / a little + nombre singular no contable
“You have little for buying” (Tienes poco para comprar)“Can we have a little more information?” (¿Podemos tener un poco más de información?)

Few / a few + nombre plural contable
“Very few people do sports” (Muy poca gente practica deportes).

Expressing Quantity
Much / Many

'Much' and 'Many' are used in negative sentences and questions. 'Much' is used with uncountable nouns such as 'rice':

There isn't much rice left.

'Many' is used for countable nouns such as 'apples':

There aren't many apples on the table.

ALot Of / Lots Of

'A lot of' and 'lots of' can be used with both count and uncountable nouns. 'A lot of' and 'lots of' are used in positive sentences:
