Roosevelt and Hitler had used the radio to change peoples view and it was also a greattool used during the Europe Wars. The article explains that people in America felt more closely linked to the events taking place in Europe because they would hear itfor the first time in live broadcast and they would be updated on what was happening. For many Americans this was revolutionary because for the first time it was likeif they were in the place the event was taking place. This changed the view of many Americans towards the war in Europe because through the radio for the first timethey were hearing of how people in Europe were suffering. This made them feel more linked to the problem and no longer they saw it as something far away.
In myopinion the television has the same impact as radio had in the 1930’s. Television is the number one source of information today, one example was when the attack on thetwin towers took place people in the United States were seeing it live. In my opinion the images of the 9-11 changed the view of many Americans that otherwise would sayno to war. Also after the attack the president had quick access through television to try to calm the American people. Television is also the number one source ofinformation because it connects people around the world and it gives us an idea of what going on around us. Its also a clear form of communication, advertisement,entertainment, and information as radio was in the 1930s. In my opinion television has a bigger impact than radio because it’s not the same to hear something than to see it.
