Troubleshooting for System Check
Why am I seeing this?
A problem has been detected with your Java plugin. This may be caused if previous installmentsof Java are corrupt on your computer, or if Java has been disabled in Internet Explorer.
Solutions
This guide will try to help you fix the problem with easy step-by-step instructions. Pleasefollow
the instructions in Step 1, after which you will be asked to go back to “System Check” and click
Recheck System to see if the problem was solved.
If the solution in Step 1 doesn’t solve theproblem, move on to the instructions in Step 2, and
so on as needed.
Note: the instructions below are based on Windows 7. If you are using a different operating
system, some of the instructions maydiffer slightly.
Important: Running Java for the First Time
The first time Java runs in Internet Explorer, including the first time it runs after it is reinstalled or
updated, it will ask you forpermission to run. Make sure you allow Java to Run Add-on on All Websites
in Internet Explorer 8, or Click on the Allow button in Internet Explorer 9. This applies to all steps below
where youinstall or reinstall Java, and then perform the System Check.

Step 1: Make sure that the Java add-on is enabled
1. Go to the Internet Explorer menu.
2. Select Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Show: All Add-ons
3. Look in the All add-ons list forthese two add-ons:
a. Java™ Plug-in SSV Helper
b. Java™ Plug-in 2 SSV Helper
4. Once you click each add-on, you will see an Enable button in the lower right-hand
corner of the window. Click theEnable button. If the button says Disable, then the plugins are already enabled and you should not click the button.
5. Change your selection from Show: All Add-ons to Show: Run without permission....
