Nicholas Vujicic

Nicholas James Vujicic, is an Australian preacher and motivational speaker born with Tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs. As achild, he struggled mentally and emotionally, as well as physically, but eventually came to terms with his disability and, at the age of seventeen, started his own non-profitorganization, Life without Limbs.
With this project Nick wants to challenge people to live without limits by looking at what he can do despite his disability. “Too often we tellourselves we aren’t smart enough or attractive enough or talented enough to pursue our dreams. What’s worse is that when you consider yourself unworthy, you are putting limitson how God can work through you.” he says.
Vujicic shares that growing up he couldn’t imagine what kind of career or life he could have as an adult without arms and legs. Butnow, he is a successful motivational speaker who has shared his testimony with millions of people. He can also play the drums, type on the computer, swim, and mostly take careof himself despite not having limbs.
People who listen to his speeches affirm that after listening to Nick everything seems better in life. Nick teaches how to appreciate whatwe’ve got. He tries to make us realize how overcoming obstacles in life is much easier than we think it is. A British teenager related that Nick inspired her when she followeda link from a Twitter Tweet and saw him on YouTube. “I was moved to tear. “ she confesses.
In conclusion, Nick is an absolute fighter who has turned a handicap into anability. It’s impressive how strong and hopeful he is. In my view, we should all think about the things that make us unhappy and ask whether they are bad enough to make us sad.
