Poverty: a remain problem
In this essay I’m going to talk about poverty. Poverty means a situation in which a person fails to earn income sufficient to purchase his bare means of subsistence. A poorman is one who does not have command over the basic needs of life like enough food, clothing, drinking water and shelter on the material level. But I think it is not an economic abstraction, it is ahuman condition. It is despair, grief and pain. It is the despair of a father with a family of seven children in a poor country when he joins the, swelling ranks of unemployed with no prospects ofunemployment compensation. Poverty is the longing of a young boy playing outside a village school but unable to enter because his parents lack a few rupees needed to buy text books. Poverty is the griefof parents watching a three year old child die of a routine childhood disease because they cannot afford any medical care. The term 'absolute poverty' signifies a population that is living below $1(U.S) a day; therefore one in every five on Earth are living in absolute poverty. Within this essay we are going to see the main causes and effect of poverty.
The most obvious effect of poverty ishunger. Six million children under the age of five, die each year as a result of hunger. One in seven children born in countries where hunger, and therefore poverty, is most common will die beforereaching the age of five. Hunger affects mental and physical growth, causing undernourished smaller and slighter body frames, which in turn earn less in jobs involving physical labor, contributing to theoverall poverty of a country and community. Education it’s a cause and an effect of poverty, because if you don’t have a good education you can’t have a good work; therefore you will live with lowincome.
