Was it a reaction, or just pure racism?
Give at least one extended example of how this novel represents the theme of racism.
Racism is the belief that race accounts for differences inhuman character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others. It is also the discrimination or prejudice based on race. Race it’s determined by a group of characteristics that are specificto a group of people that live in a certain place. These characteristics are physical and cultural.
We can see racism all over the world. In USA we can see the racism from the white people to theblack people or vice versa, from the ones who were born in the United States to the immigrants such as Latin people, Asians and Arabs. We can also see the racism because of the religion of a person’sculture; specially to the Muslims. But USA is not the only country in the world where we can see racism; there is always someone that finds him or herself superior to others because they’re different.In the novel “Go Tell It on the Mountain” by James Baldwin, we read about a black or negro family and the lifestyle that they have. As I read the novel I saw the theme of racism. This novel made mesee that racism it’s not only from the white people to the black ones, but from the black ones to the white ones.
