INTERVIEWER: Good morning, today we have the presence of Laura Martínez, nurse of the plant of oncology of the hospital Vall d'Hebron, of Barcelona, and teacher in the University, whichshe will tell us his experience along his path as nurse and as teacher.
NURSE: Hello, is an honor for me to be here today in this program and to tell my experience to all the listeners.
INTERVIEWER:Laura, how long have you working as a nurse in the area of Oncology?
NURSE: I work in this area since I finished my university career. Just when I finished the race, I did a master in palliative care,to specialize and expand my knowledge in relationship to the cancer patient.
INTERVIEWER: Is very difficult for you to combine your work as a nurse in the hospital and teacher at the University?NURSE: Every day is more difficult, because I have less time to be with my family and especially with my three year old daughter
INTERVIEWER: When did you discover that really you liked was theOncology?
NURSE: I never imagined that this area of nursing to my I liked both, but in my last year of practices as a nursing student, I was in a plant of terminally ill patients by cancer, and was therewhen I discovered my true vocation.
INTERVIEWER: what do you feel when you help your patients?
NURSE: For me, help and care for people, is one of the greatest satisfactions in my life. When I do, Ifeel that my effort is worthwhile and increase my desire to continue studying and forming me in this area.
INTERVIEWER: Is very difficult for you see suffer your patients and in some cases see themdie?
NURSE: Is very difficult and very hard, although I see people die every day, because not only I see the suffering of the patient, I also see as his family and friends are losing the enthusiasm andhope, with the passing of the days.
INTERVIEWER: What do you like most about your job?

NURSE: The thing I most like about my job is to help and care for people. When I see patients who have...
