Teaching philosophy

In this essay, I am going to present some of my beliefs on this wonderful labor which is teaching. The ideas which I am about to mention represent only my ownthoughts which were forged during my college years.

For me the most important thing about teaching, and the most effective also is that teachers should make sure of getting students motivatedbefore, during and after class and for me that is the utmost goal that I shall pursue as a teacher. In other words, a teacher should be a motivational expert who coaches students to guide their ownlearning and undertake all tasks which they may propose for themselves.

Consequently, in order to improve this motivation, teachers should invest time increasing their repertoire of lessonplans and material which should include interesting games and out- of-context activities. In addition to it, technology such as data-shows, smartboard and computers should be used whenever it is possibleand when it is not realia, props and visual aids should be used. These aids help to motivate students but they should also be used effectively by an experienced teacher who knows how to manage thedifferent factors in the classroom. This teacher should be able to handle any possible problem which may arise and diverge the motivation and the interest in the class. Furthermore, teachers should befirm on the outside and

tender on the inside, they should press students to the point that they get their goals but they should understand students when they have problems and not just be ruthless bypunishing them.

Another point which should be paid attention are values, for teachers should never forget the universal values which are equally important and representative of any humanbeing. In these values rely good understanding and harmony, which help students inside and outside the classroom in their real lives. Teachers should teach them in every class because teaching is not...
