SUMMARY
Objective: To determine the level of knowledge on Prevention of the Cervicouterino Cancer in theusers of the C.S. Strength - Vitarte. Lima. 2006. Material and method: Applicative level, quantitative type, descriptive method of cross section. Population conformed by users of C.S. Strength, the selection of the sample was nonprobable by convenience conformed by 80 users. It was use the thecnique of the interview and a questionnaire was use like an instrument. Results: As far as the Knowledge onPrevention of the Cervicouterino Cancer of 80 (100%), 55 (69%) have average knowledge, 10 (12%) low and 15 (19%) high. In relation to Primary Prevention 54 (67%) it has average knowledge, 15 (19%) low and 11 (14%) high, do not know on the infection by Human the Papiloma Virus like cause of the Cervicouterino Cancer as well as the association of the Cervicouterino Cancer with the vaginalchildbirths, habit to smoke, early age of beginning of sexual relations and early age of the first childbirth. In Secondary Prevention 67 (84%) they have an average knowledge, 9 (11%) low and 4 (5%) high, do not know more, the beginning of the taking of sample of papanicolaou and the interpretation of results of the examination of Papanicolaou. Conclusions: The level of knowledge on prevention ofCervicouterino Cancer in the users of C.S. Strength is medium and low in most of then. In relation to the primary prevention the mayority of then has medium and low knowledge and not knowing about PVH and some factors like cause of Cervicouterino Cancer. About the knowledge about secondary prevention, most of then has medium and low knowledge, so that, making a previuos diagnostic and unnecessary opportunetreatment.
