The fight of the energies

Introduction

When the seasons change, the animals disappear, the temperatures increase, appear and reappear new diseases and thepossibilities of risks in the world increases; that is when we are facing one of the biggest threats to human beings along with their inventions and developments have been leading. We call this threat global warming, it is defined as the increase in temperature of the earth that is caused by the increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere; this gases hold the heat in the atmosphere and maintain anaverage temperature on earth of 59°F ( Al Gore, 2007), that means, that the greenhouse effect is produced. These gases are emitted by both the humans and by nature, they come from different ways; but in recent decades they have accelerated their existence because of various actions that the humans make but ignores it effects. Some of the forms of emission are as follows: the emission of nitrous oxide(N2O) that occurs in the fertilizers used in agriculture; Fluorinated gases are used in refrigerators, air conditioners, sprays and others; and last but not least there is the CO2 that is emitted mostly due to human and also, It comes from burning fossil fuels (oil, coal and natural gas), the deforestation of forests to convert into agricultural fields and forest fires.

Global warming hasbeen a topic of discussion that has a history; however in this last decade the attention that has been given to the problem has increased and there are a number of solutions that help stop the increase of greenhouse gases. Some of the solutions are recycling, using less hot water, using less transport, the consumption of paper considered and changing the use of fossil fuels by renewable ones. Inspite of this, within non-renewable energy sources are nuclear energy as a power source for generating energy.

Specifying the definitions of both energies, I start by appointing non-renewable energy sources as that energy that uses fossil fuels or mineral products, such as uranium, coal, oil and natural gas; for electricity or commodities; on the other hand, renewable energies are thosewhich operate on the basis of the sunlight, among these are wind power, hydro, solar, and others. Both energies are used by humans for different purposes; however, now it is more often used towards organic than material; but, I wonder, how do we know which is the most suitable and least polluting for the planet? This question has caused controversy within the government and environmentalists.That is why I, in this project, will present the pros and cons of each of the energies, to establish an order of importance and functionality between them. Inside the differences that are going to appear in the project, I am going to present the effects of each of the energies caused to the planet, their sustainability, productivity, availability and cost. These characteristics are named in theexplanation of each of the energies that will be discussed in the project, in order to draw a conclusion and an answer for the question arising from the various opinions that exist in the world.

With the problem of global warming, the governments and environmentalists are committed to finding solutions and putting them in action as soon as possible. This is aproblem that requires time and money, but also efficiency and availability; so, what they propose? Nowadays, the emissions of the burning fossil fuels are the main reason of emissions of CO2; however, one of the ways to solve the problem of climate change is introducing the renewable energies to the world and presenting it as a new way of life.
